Training Providers Forum
The forum was established to enable training providers to gain up-to-date knowledge and information about policy and service developments surrounding children, young people and families. The forum provides a space for you, as an in-house, private or voluntary training provider, Further Education college or Higher Education provider, to reflect upon your training provision and establish what policy changes and service developments mean for you and the courses you provide.
The forum is an annual event, lasting one day. In the morning there is input from practitioners who are leading on areas of change or who can provide insight into new policy initiatives. There are also sessions where practitioners give a realistic picture of what it means to do their job - a head teacher, a social worker for example.
Lunch is provided and there is plenty of time for the opportunity to network with other providers in the region. In the afternoon there are reflective activities and a summarising update from the Children’s Trust learning and development lead. Every forum is different and based upon what previous attendees have requested. If there is something you would like to know about then get in touch and we will do our best to incorporate it into an upcoming event.
As a training provider it is essential that your training is fit for purpose. By attending the forum you can ensure that the programmes you deliver are current, up-to-date and meeting the needs of the organisations who commission your training. Information shared at this meeting could highlight growth areas that your company may wish to pursue.
So why should you attend? Because it makes business sense, and as key partners in the delivery of the Children’s Trust Workforce Strategy, the quality of your training programmes impacts on our services for children, young people and families.
