The joint resource in
Devon dedicated to
services for children and
young people comes
to approximately £750
million. There are also
many contributions
which appear under
other budgets, which
contribute to work with
children and young
people but are not easily
counted. For example,
a proportion of the time
of neighbourhood police
officers, planning officers
and GPs.
A key role of the Joint Commissioning Team, established during 2007-2008, is to identify the need, the resources needed to meet that need and to help co-ordinate a better match between the two.
