Inspection and Evidence Library

A review of the full inspection of safeguarding and looked after children in the summer of 2009 has led to the "Always Inspection Ready" (AIR) Taskforce being created to ensure our ongoing readiness for inspection. The Taskforce's role is to support managers, providers and partners in presenting the evidence of the impact of the services we provide in improving the outcomes for the children and young people, families and communities of Devon.

The evidence collected from partners across the Children's Trust will be reviewed every quarter to ensure that it is relevant and representative of the services we deliver and tells the stories of the children and young people it serves. The evidence will also be used to assist the Children's Trust in completing it's annual self-assessment of services against the Ofsted inspection criteria as well as reviewing progress against the Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP).

The Taskforce will also be the liaison between the Ofsted inspection team and the leaders of the partnership organisations, co-ordinating the inspection schedule, evidence, meeting, interviews and relevant debriefs. Communications will be through the Taskforce so effective two way communication will flow prior to, during and post inspection.
